Just this afternoon I had been compelled again to discuss business matters with a big boss after more than a year of being out of the "limelight". I was tasked by our boss here in the Phils to present to him how we want Manning should be like in the future.
Honestly, I didn't know what to present. First because I have very limited idea of what is being discussed up there. Fortunately, he provided me some readings. I was able to get some ideas on what he wanted me to do. So, I immediately put out my notes and began preparing my presentation.
He seemed excited about what I would present so I think a day after he told me, he got back to me already and asked for it. Of course it took me a while to prepare. When I was finally ready, confidently I presented to him "with great passion" what I hoped for my Dept.
It looked like I was able to put together a good thought about the matter. He was truly impressed and even gave me a firm handshake. A congratulations for a job well done. When I was presenting my ideas to him I knew I presented it so well. However when I was demonstrating already to the big boss, I got a little nervous. Thus, my brains worked slower. I had a hard time expounding my points. I was stammering! I had difficulty speaking!
Hence, I'm not sure now whether he was indeed impressed with my ideas. But, our exchange of ideas about our situation was rather interesting I would say. But I hope he was. He won't ask me to come to our main office to talk another boss about the matter and sort things out if he wasn't, right?
