For a number of days now my 4 year-old nephew, Eking, has been leading our prayer before meal. He still cannot properly utter some words. "S" still sounds "t". He still stummers a lot. Some of his requests are also out of this world! "Sana po matapos na si Ate Josie maglaba ( I hope Josie finishes her laundry). Sometimes he prays that his aunties and uncles, be top # 1 and be good in schooling. Some are short-cuts. Some words we cannot understand. But believe me, the pleasure of seeing a 4-year-old kid having the guts and ability to sustain a 3-minute prayer is heaven! Right after his every prayer all of us cannot help but clap our hands. (Right now, we are a total of nine people at home - me & my hubby, my eldest brother-father of Eking, Eking's eldest sister, My youngest brother, the wife and two daugthers of my other brother & our cousin-Josie, who act as our house-help).
I'm thankful we're able to train him to be grateful for the blessings and for whatever he has at his very early age. I'm grateful he slowly learns that God is the right One to approach for all needs & desires. I'm glad he learns leadership in a godly way.
It's my sincere prayer that will grow up to be a great, loving, Godly and courageous man. I also pray he will continue to be an an adorable angel and prayer leader to his loved-ones and community.
